Whole Wheat Ragi Cake

This recipe for whole wheat ragi cake is egg, butter and sugar-free. It is made using whole wheat flour and ragi millets thus making it a very healthy baking option for kid's lunch box.

Ingredients

  • 150 gm Whole wheat flour
  • 75 gm Ragi flour
  • 25 gm Cocoa powder
  • 70 gm Jaggery powder
  • 70 gm Hung Curd
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 50 ml Oil
  • 30 ml Honey
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda

Instructions

  1. Sieve the dry ingredients - Whole wheat flour, Ragi powder, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda

  2. Mix all the wet ingredients - milk, curd, oil and honey

  3. Mix it thoroughly and add jaggery powder. Whisk the wet ingredients until jaggery powder dissolves

  4. Mix wet ingredients mix to the dry ingredients and mix it properly

  5. Its ready to bake @180 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes or until the cake leaves its sides and edges

  6. Cool completely before slicing and enjoy it with your hot cup of tea!
